Student life

Başkent university offers very comfortable life for all the students and staff of the university. The main campus of the university consists of almost everything that people need. There are 3 blocks of dormitories located in the campus. 1 block is for male and 2 blocks are for female students. Students can find single or double bedrooms with bathrooms and in some rooms a corner kitchen too. There is laundry in all the buildings with enough number of machines for all students. Dormitories have a study center that students can use 24 hours a day.

If the study center of the dormitory isn’t enough for you, you can surely use the main library of the university. The main library is a modern and beautiful building in the main campus that provides students every thing they need during their education.

Since the main campus is situated 18 kilometers outside the city of Ankara, and dormitories are in the main campus, university provides free transportation from the campus to the city center.

There are also every kind of sport facilities in the university for students and staff. In order to be admitted at the Başkent university, international students need to take the YOS exam. Students applying for a Master’s program must take the GRE exam. Since the language of instruction of most programs is Turkish, students need to submit a Turkish language proficiency result too.

The minimum score of English language proficiency is 72 (TOEFL iBT) and the minimum of Turkish language proficiency is 70 (TOMER).
