Our university was established as the second state university in Erzurum with the decision dated 21.07.2010 and numbered 27648, to provide education with 6 faculties, 3 institutes and 1 higher school. Founded in 2010, our university received its first students in the 2012-2013 academic year and gave its first graduates in the 2015-2016 academic year.
ETÜ, which carries out its construction activities rapidly, continues its works to complete the majority of the campus area. Our modern faculty and administrative buildings, rising on an area of 4,000 decares on the airport road, set an example among new generation universities. First of all, with the completion of the 6250 m2 central classrooms building, an important step has been taken for the education standards and social facilities of our students. In addition to this, an additional classroom building of 3.178 m2 was built to be used as a gym later on. Afterwards, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences building of 19,581 m2, which will serve the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Letters, has been completed and the students of the said faculty continue their education in this building. The 25,245 m2 Engineering and Architecture Faculty, whose construction was completed, was put into service in 2017. In addition, our 12,578 m2 Rectorate building, which was built as a synthesis of Seljuk, Ottoman period and Republican era architecture, was completed and put into service in 2016. Our girls’ dormitory with a capacity of 152 students, donated to our university by İşbank, is in active service and meets the accommodation and social life needs of our students. In 2017, the Credit and Hostels Institution dormitories with a capacity of 1500 people will be put into service on our campus area.
