Istanbul Aydin university, one of Turkey’s private foundation universities, appears on top of priority list of most talented Turkish students. The Istanbul Aydin university does not own any dormitories inside the campus, however, duo to its central location, students have many options in surrounding areas such as private dormitories and student rentals. The university has signed various contracts with different private dormitories to provide safe and comfortable accommodation for its students.

IAU has provided various types of modern and up to date sports facilities for all its students in campus. There are 8 sports facilities in this university provided for comfortable student life. Besides sports facilities, the university offers various labs and libraries with the all the books and equipment needed for different departments.

There are also more than 110 student associations and clubs currently active at this university. Students can join one of these clubs in various categories such as English-speaking clubs, movie watching clubs, school newspaper club and etc. at IAU.

Admissions and application requirements

This university demands its applicants to take the TOMER examination in order to be considered a candidate for a position at the university. They also need a English language proficiency certificate, since the medium of education is English.

For Associate and Bachelor Degree Programs:

  1. Passport photograph
  2. High school diploma (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
  3. High school transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
  4. Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
  5. 60 % marks (min) in High School
  6. For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -79 points
    (If English is not the first/ official language of the country).
    (If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU.
  7. For Turkish degree program applicants: TOMER B1 level required.
  8. Dentistry and Medicine applicants: TOMER C1 level required.

For Master Degree Programs:

  1. Passport photograph
  2. Undergraduate diploma (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
  3. Undergraduate transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
  4. Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
  5. A cumulative GPA of 2,5 (on a 4,0) or equivalent
  6. For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -66 points (If English is not the   first/      official language of the country). If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU.
  7. Students applying for Turkish Degree program (TOMER B2 Level)
  8. If you know Turkish (You can pass a Turkish Proficiency Exam)
  9. If you do not know Turkish then Apply for Turkish Language Program first at tomer.aydin.edu.tr, as without having Turkish Language visa students will not be registered to TÖMER

For Ph.D Degree Program:

  1. Undergraduate and graduate diploma (Translated into Turkish or English)
  2. Undergraduate and graduate transcript (Translated into Turkish or English)
  3. Passport scanned version of the relevant pages
  4. Language proficiency score in English, French or German
  5. TOEFL IBT (84) (if medium of instruction of degree is English)
  6. TOEFL IBT (66) + TÖMER C 1 (if medium of instruction of degree is Turkish *)
