Nishantashi university is a foundation university located in the Nishantashi neighborhood in European Istanbul. This university started its life in 2010 by teaching several associate degree programs. The university has been growing rapidly ever since and has got the approval of teaching graduate degree in 2013. The university is still growing and adding to its programs every semester. Lately, double degrees have also been added to the programs and students can choose 2 major and continue them simultaneously. The university aims to educate people who take use of technology in dealing with any problem in various fields of study. Students of this university would take advantage of the technological revolution and create new opportunities for themselves.

Today, there are about 23 thousand students at the university of Nishantashi. About 20 per cent of these students are studying with full scholarship grants. The university also has more than 2500 international students at the moment.

More than 600 academic staff are working at the university today, 12 of which are not Turkish and are working as international professors at the university. These highly educated academics work in 6 general faculties and many specific departments in each of these faculties.

The Nishantashi university tries to provide a comfortable life for students during their studies. The department of health culture and sports of the university provides many opportunities for students to take part and use during their time at the campus.  This department organizes many academic and non-academic activities during a year. Students can take part in one of these seminars, congresses and conferences and learn valuable lessons there. They can also take part in various sports activities and competitions, movie days and theaters and many more social activities in the campus.

There are more than 50 student clubs at the moment which are established and organized by students and everyone with different interests and beliefs can find a suitable club to join and enjoy some quality time while making new friends here.

There are also several tournaments and competitions that take place at the campus every year. Students can be a member of a team or just enjoy the immense competition of their friends. They can also use the sports amenities provided by the university freely.

The university also provides medical and psychological support for all its students. Students can benefit from the medical support 24 hours a day and in times of emergency.

This university has been growing rapidly since its establishment and today, it is considered among the 150 top universities in Turkey. Faculty of medicine

This faculty aims at educating doctors and physicians who are skillful and knowledgeable and will increase the level of health at the society.  The medicine program at the nishantashi university is a 6 year long program, 2 years of which will be internship programs in various clinics and hospitals. This faculty consists of 3 departments, department of basic medical science, department of surgical medicine and department of internal medicine.

Faculty of engineering

Technology is growing rapidly, and if a country needs to keep up with this pace, it needs to educate knowledgeable and up to date engineers. The faculty of engineering tries to educate the people who will help Turkey grow technologically. There are 4 departments in this faculty. Department of architecture, department of civil engineering, department of computer science and department of electronics.
